The HUB

The Portico Church is teeming with “death to life” stories as God works through ordinary people just like us.

10:00:00 AM

Join us on October 20th for a casual pot-luck brunch and exciting conversation around what God is up to within our church.
You will hear the latest news regarding the Elder selection process, our church’s paid staffer, the winter church-wide retreat and numerous other evolutionary developments within our fellowship.
If you want to stay in the know and have your voice heard, then invest a few hours on a Sunday morning at The HUB.

The HUB has become the most effective means of communicating church vision, events and shared experience. The goal of each HUB is to provide dedicated time and space for our church to gather together in unity to hear from one another, capture a shared direction and address critical needs.
For those who would like to take advantage of free childcare, please sign up in the lobby so we can secure the appropriate amount of care-givers that morning.

Who Knew Meetings Could Be So Productive?!?

meetinganxiety

With just a few days until our quarterly Volunteer Staff Meeting, you may be feeling a little “meeting anxiety.” You know – that looming feeling of “oh-no! Not another M-E-E-T-I-N-G!”

Boring.
Useless.
Waste of Time.

Never Fear! This Sunday morning’s events promise to change your perspective about “meetings.”

At 10:00 AM the Volunteer Staff of The Portico Church will gather at The Palace for a shared brunch and warm conversation. After filling up on tasty morsels – buckle your seat belt, because you are in for a ride.

This meeting will be fast-paced and having you wondering where the brakes are.

1. We will hear from The Elders about where God is leading our fellowship.

2. Ministry Leaders will give a quick update on how things are going and where you can help.

3. If you use the internet you may be interested to hear Melissa Hill unpack The Portico Church’s use of social media and website.

4. Wrap all that up with a healthy dose of corporate prayer and you have yourself a heck-of-a –good-time. Everything you want to know about what’s happening at The Portico Church – in under 2 hours (money-back-guarantee).

So, keep calm and enjoy the meeting. See you Sunday morning.

3. Troubleshoot needs and gaps in service delivery within our church
4. Check in with an Elder regarding the Spiritual Direction of our fellowship
5. Pray for the Kingdom Work in our community

Bring your calendars and be ready for a fast-paced, energetic experience that will leave you better informed and excited about the coming days.  If you have items for discussion that you would like to see addressed during The Hub, please email Chris Ramsey by June 19 to have them placed on the agenda.
